Have any stingless bee colonies in need of splitting? 

If you're colony is over 3kgs net weight, and hasn't been split in 12 months, then it is ready to be divided. If you don't need the daughter colony, see "Brokerage" under the "Services" page  at sting-less.com.au to see which option best fits you.

Labour is charged at $48/hr

BEE COLONY BROKERAGE

Half Colony Brokerage: your colony is split and one colony (daughter colony) is taken from you. You are left with $200 and there is no cost to you.

Full Colony Brokerage: a colony that hasn't been split in 12 months or more is bought from you, you are left with $450 and there is no cost to you.

Full Colony Brokerage is best for people who've already reached the stocking rate for their plantation. Half colony brokerage is best for people who will reach their stocking rate after all their existing colonies are split.

Hive division is best done in warm weather, especially early this year so that new colonies are strong for flowering period in September/October. Please get in contact now for plans to be arranged. Colonies will not be split after the end of March. 

STINGLESS BEE COLONY WAITLIST

Stingless bee colonies are for sale and are distributed by Sting-Less.

Due to high demand, and low supply, there is currently a wait list for colonies. The wait list is subject to variables such as weather (new colonies can't be made in wet weather) , supply and demand.

Get in contact now to secure your place. Orders are limited to 3 colonies per farm to allow for a fair share.
