This master class will give an overview on the basic principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). In order to achieve a more sustainable management of pests, a more holistic approach to manage horticultural pests is required. This is a complex process that requires understanding of the ecology of the environment, knowledge about natural enemies, inclusion of improved cultural practices and reduction in the use of chemicals.
