AMS News Bulletin Autumn 2017

The State of Origin Awards get top billing in this edition of the Bulletin.

Also featured are macadamias in the Bundaberg region, harvesting efficiency and marketing, along with an R&D Update, regular columns from AMS staff, Benchmarking update and AMS and industry news.

The State of Origin feature examines management practices of winners in the State of Origin – Chris Cook from Dymocks Farming Group and Jason Klotz from Red Rock Macadamias.

The Bundaberg region feature includes case studies of farms in the area and describes how the region has become the biggest producing region in Australia, overtaking the Northern Rivers in 2016.

The harvesting efficiency features outlines quick tips for harvest, has a checklist of actions to get ready for harvest and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency.

The marketing feature explains why the future is bright for macadamias and looks into the crystal ball for global production growth over the next five years.
