AMS leadership update

Clare Hamilton-Bate has advised the Board that she will step down as Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Macadamia Society in mid-2026.

Clare has led the organisation through a period of significant change during four of the most challenging seasons our industry has experienced in recent years.

Since joining AMS in 2022, Clare has transformed the organisation to better serve a fast-evolving industry. This has included clearly defining the role of AMS, repositioning the organisation with industry and external stakeholders, and rebuilding strong, resilient relationships across the supply chain and with government.

On behalf of the AMS Board of Directors, I thank Clare for her dedication and steady leadership. Her contribution has strengthened AMS as a respected and resilient representative body, well equipped to support the Australian macadamia industry. We are saddened by her departure but wish her well in her future endeavours.

Clare will work closely with the AMS team, Board and stakeholders to ensure continuity across all operations and a smooth leadership transition.

The recruitment process for the next AMS CEO will commence shortly. For further information, please contact Mark Napper, Chair, or Clare Hamilton-Bate.
