Macadamia Conservation Trust evolves into Wild Macadamia Conservation

The Macadamia Conservation Trust (MCT) has officially evolved into Wild Macadamia Conservation (WMC) โ€” an independent charity and registered environmental organisation dedicated to protecting Australiaโ€™s wild macadamia trees and their native habitats.

Established by the Australian Macadamia Society in 2007, the Trust has played a key role in developing a threatened species recovery plan, locating remnant populations, and directing funds to vital conservation work. For over 18 years, AMS has been instrumental in supporting the MCT and a small team of passionate advocates committed to safeguarding the wild relatives of our commercial crop.

WMC now builds on that strong foundation to continue and expand the work, with a fresh identity that remains deeply connected to its origins. The new logo features a macadamia tree in hand โ€” symbolising care, Landcare values, and growth โ€” set against the backdrop of Australia and the unmistakable green husk, a mark of both origin and renewal.

The WMC team thanks the AMS for its long-standing support and looks forward to continued collaboration in this next chapter.
