Are you ready to take the lead in managing a portfolio of macadamia orchards in the thriving Bundaberg region? We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Area Manager to oversee both newly developed and established orchards, along with a state-of-the-art de-husking facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the National Manager – Macadamias, you will:
- Coordinate orchard supervisors and implement operational programs.
- Lead and develop teams to ensure safe, high-quality orchard work.
- Maintain orchard records, analyse data, and prepare management reports.
- Address operational issues and manage budget variances.
- Contribute to operational planning and oversee contractor engagement.
- Review forecasts monthly with accounts and management.
- Develop nutrition plans in collaboration with Agronomists and supervisors.
- Oversee pest and disease control and maximize orchard production.
- Monitor tree health and yield for optimal performance.
- Promote accurate and safe work practices while reinforcing company policies.
- Identify training needs and manage team performance effectively.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Expertise in macadamia orchard operations, including irrigation, fertigation, pest management, and harvesting.
- Proven experience in budgeting, expenditure management, and forecasting.
- Strong communication and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Project management experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
Experience in a corporate agricultural environment and formal safety training are highly regarded but not essential.
