We are currently seeking a leading farm hand to work on our Macadamia Orchard in Tregeagle. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who can manage the day to day operations of a macadamia orchard to successfully cultivate macadamia nuts.   

We are seeking someone who can manage and prioritise competing tasks, including to:

• implement intergraded Orchard Management Practices, where practical.
• the ability to utilise a range of machinery, equipment and attachments.
• maintain the orchard floor, through mulching, mowing, soil profiling, weed spraying and drainage management improvement. 
• utilise harvesting equipment to harvest nuts from the orchard floor regularly  throughout the harvesting season.
• utilise spray equipment to spray trees to manage pests and diseases
• utilise a chainsaw and wood chipper to remove tree limbs
• ensure the machinery is regularly maintained and repaired to ensure its correct and safe operation.  
• process nuts on farm
• deliver nuts to the processor 
• accurately keep paper records of farm processes including daily check lists, chemical applications, fertiliser applications, harvesting and delivery records; and
• contribute to a safe work environment and opportunities for improvement. 

The successful applicant must hold a valid driver’s licence and chemical certification.
