9th International Macadamia Symposium

The International Macadamia Symposium Committee is excited to announce that the International Macadamia Symposium will take place from 19 to 21 September 2023 in Zimbali, South Africa

Early bird registrations have been extended to 21 July, so register now and enjoy the benefits of 30% discounted rates!

Every three years the global macadamia community comes together for the International Macadamia Symposium. The event was delayed due to COVID, with the last conference held 5 years ago in Lincang, China. This year all of industry from growers, researchers, processors, suppliers and marketers are heading to Zimbali, South Africa for IMS23.  With the challenging times the macadamia industry is facing, the need to collaborate and learn from our global colleagues has never been greater.

If you are keen to take part in this event, but haven’t already registered, IMS23 early bird pricing ends shortly on 21 July 2023! We’re not all seasonal travellers, particularly to Africa and after feedback from you we have requested some additional information about travel to the conference, finer details about registration and accommodation at the event from our South African hosts. Take a look at the helpful information sheet that walks you through every part of the process.

Your invitation from SAMAC:

Dear esteemed delegates

As CEO of SAMAC, the hosting country for the International Macadamia Symposium 2023, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you. We are thrilled to be hosting the 9th IMS, which promises to be an exciting and informative event. This year’s symposium will bring together experts, growers, processors, and other stakeholders from across the macadamia industry to share knowledge and experiences, explore new trends and innovations, and forge valuable connections.

We believe that the macadamia industry is one of the most exciting and dynamic sectors in agriculture today, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this important field. With South Africa leading the way in macadamia production, processing, and marketing, we are excited to share our expertise and insights with colleagues from around the world.

Our program is packed with a diverse range of sessions, workshops, and networking events that we believe will provide valuable learning opportunities for all attendees. We are confident that you will find the content of the conference both interesting and insightful, and we hope that it will inspire new ideas and strategies to help grow and improve the industry.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all our sponsors, exhibitors, and partners who have made this event possible. Without their support, we would not be able to bring together such a diverse and knowledgeable group of participants.
