AMS New Grower Workshop - Bundaberg QLD

The New Grower Workshop has been designed to help new and potential growers gather in-depth information about the macadamia industry and establish valuable grower connections.

The workshop is a comprehensive two day event that includes:

  • FULL-DAY WORKSHOP where you’ll receive information and detailed advice about the Australian macadamia industry, provided by our AMS executive team and other industry experts.
  • FULL-DAY ORCHARD BUS TOUR where you’ll see some of Australia’s leading macadamia orchards and meet some of our best growers.


Day 1 topics include:

  • orchard establishment, design and varietal selection
  • pest and disease management
  • integrated orchard management practices
  • key areas to increase production per ha
  • industry average costs of production, yield by region and average gross income
  • research and development, new technology and industry trends


Day 2

The second day will consist of a full day field trip to a range of orchards to talk directly with leading growers on a range of topics. This is a great opportunity to see how macadamia orchards operate and to meet other local growers.
