Certificate III in Production Horticulture (Macadamia)

TAFE NSW  is once again offering the Certificate III in Production Horticulture course, starting in February 2025. This course will be offered at  Wollongbar campus, see below for course info –

Wollongbar Campus – Start Date: Wednesday the 5th of February 2025 1 day per week at present

This course suits farmers and those employed in Macadamia production and aligns well with the Macadamia Industry. Please see below for a list of the units offered in this course  -

  • AHCBIO303 – Apply biosecurity measures
  • AHCCHM304 – Transport & store chemicals
  • AHCCHM307 – Prepare & apply chemicals to control weeds, pests & diseases
  • AHCIRG337 – Measure irrigation delivery systems
  • AHCMOM304 – Operate machinery & equipment
  • AHCNSY313 – Implement a propagation plan 
  • AHCPCM305 – Implement a plant nutrition program
  • AHCPHT302 – Prepare raw materials & compost feedstock
  • AHCPHT312 – Implement a plant nutrition program
  • AHCPHT315 – Establish horticultural crops
  • AHCPHT317 – Coordinate horticultural crop harvesting
  • AHCPMG301 – Control weeds
  • AHCPMG302 – Control plant pests, diseases and disorders
  • AHCSOL406 – Sample soils & interpret results
  • AHCWHS302 – Contribute to work health & safety processes
  • AHCWRK318 – Comply with industry quality assurance standards
