The program for the July MacGroups (see below) has been developed based on your feedback, from many conversations, over recent months. The complex landscape that impacts macadamia production, processing and supply is even more complex in the current market environment. With farmgate returns below the cost of production, impacting heavily on business viability, a focus beyond the farm gate is often very hard, but a focus on the bigger picture will provide insight for the medium and longer term.
MacGroups are both the opportunity to hear answers to your questions, to pose more questions and very importantly to come together as an industry, and we encourage you to attend.
MacGroup presentations:
- Market update - state of the world nut market and current Australian macadamia position including our industry’s response and compelling new domestic campaigns
- Managing low farm gate prices - insights and information for growers
- Current macadamia landscape - what are the key roles and responsibilities of the main players and stakeholders in the macadamia industry?
- Farm business resilience – financial, planning and on-farm assistance programs available to growers
- Drone spraying – what you can and can’t do in a macadamia orchard.
