MPC, in conjunction with Alan Coates, is running a macadamia production course covering all aspects of macadamia production – from selecting a site and planting, to managing older orchards.

The course will consist of 3 x 2-day sessions (with one session each fortnight) including field visits covering most aspects of macadamia production – harvesting, dehusking, flowering and nutset, early nut development and major orchard works such as soil profiling and pruning.

All sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with each day a blend of theory and practical. The classes will commence at 8:30am and finish at 4pm and the cost is $200 (incl GST) per person, including lunch and transport.
