Hort Innovation is one of the nation’s 15 Rural Research and Development Corporations (RDCs). Hort Innovation strives for better results for growers by focusing on three priorities:
• Research and development that has a positive short-term and long-term impact
• Marketing that grows industries
• Building Australian competitiveness to develop export opportunities and build markets overseas.
Hort Innovations’ Strategic Plan is a road map to enable the organisation to guide, deliver and track its direction and investment.
The Macadamia Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) will help guide Hort Innovation’s oversight and management of investment programs for the macadamia industry over the next five years.
It lays the foundation for decision-making in levy investments and represents the balanced interests of the industry. The very important function of the SIP is to ensure levy investment decisions align with industry priorities.
The SIP was developed through a process of consultation, drafting, validation, stakeholder feedback as well as final approval by Hort Innovation’s Board.
The process involved consultation meetings and online validation, giving macadamia growers opportunity to provide input and feedback.
If you have any questions about the development process of the SIP, please contact Hort Innovation's Macadamia Relationship Manager, Corrine Jasper, by phone on 07 3198 6759 or by email [email protected].
