Orchard Floor Protection Service offers consultancy services in orchard floor management, including farm drainage design for run off and erosion control and supervision of contractor implementation; ground cover establishment, and pre-purchase reports on soil and orchard health.

Principal, Daryl Firth has over 30 years experience in the macadamia industry as a grower and NSW Agriculture horticulture researcher specialising in ground covers (and other aspects of soil health in macadamias), and introducing smother grass to the industry in the 1990s. He has been consulting since 2005, specialising in erosion control in macadamias, and providing whole farm drainage design integrated with ground cover and tree removal/canopy management. Drainage excavation contractors are supervised as part of the service, if required.
