AMS Member Support Officer appointed for Bundaberg

The AMS is delighted to announce the appointment of Angela Williams as Member Support Officer in Bundaberg.

Angela comes to the AMS following a successful period as Manager of Canegrowers Isis Ltd and has an extensive background in engagement, stakeholder relationships, regional business support and advocacy.

Angela has also served on the Board of the Sugar R&D Corporations (the equivalent of Hort Innovation for cane growers), worked in the Department of Natural Resources and Primary Industries and has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Communications) from the University of Queensland.

Angela will start the new role in late May and will be based in Bundaberg.

AMS CEO Jolyon Burnett says Angela’s primary focus will be to provide local, practical support and assistance to AMS member businesses in Bundaberg. As required and when available she will also engage with other Queensland AMS members.

“We are thrilled to welcome Angela to this exciting new role in Bundaberg,” said Mr. Burnett.

“Her skills are well suited to the position, and she will be aiming to meet as many members as possible when she starts.”

Mr. Burnett said Angela will be supported by a Regional Advisory Panel made up of local members and industry representatives.

“Angela and the Panel will work to understand the regional issues affecting AMS members and to develop solutions and programs to address them. We encourage members to contact Angela with their ideas and challenges.”

The AMS is calling for expressions of interest from Bundaberg members wishing to be considered for the Regional Advisory Panel. To register your interest, contact AMS CEO Jolyon Burnett (Jolyon.burnett@macadamias.org).

The Member Support Officer role is funded entirely by the Australian Macadamia Society.
