Australian Macadamia Festival is underway in India

The inaugural Australian Macadamia Festival in India is underway!

The festival is a two-week culinary celebration that will immerse Indian media, chefs, food bloggers and social media influencers, as well as trade and supply chain partners, in the multi-layered narrative of Australian grown macadamias.

The event was launched at top Mumbai restaurant The LoveFools, where guests were treated to an incredible 16-course degustation designed by Executive Chef Sarita Pereira, with a wide selection of the dishes showcasing the versatility, unique taste and luxurious crunch of Australian macadamias.

It was a night of exceptional food and networking, attended by a host of VIPs from India’s retail sector and media as well as chefs, government, bloggers and influencers.

The festival is designed to create awareness and excitement around Australian macadamias, and while the event itself is centred in Mumbai, it is attracting national attention thanks to media coverage generated by the launch.

We have already received multiple enquiries following the launch with several business development meetings now in place with potential trading partners.

We look forward to sharing all the highlights of this vibrant and informative festival over the coming weeks as we introduce the wonders of Australian-grown macadamias to the Indian market.

Thank you to the Queensland Government for its support of the Festival through the Food and Fibre to Market: Industry Partnerships program.
