China Tree Nut Conference

Members of the Australian macadamia industry attended the annual China
Tree Nut Conference in Lin’an last week. AMS CEO Clare Hamilton-Bate
shared key information on the Australian industry, an update on the 2024
season, and an overview of the Australian macadamia marketing program in China.
The macadamia session included updates from the WMO, South Africa and China industries, and an informative presentation on macadamia oil, milk and skincare by Morgan Roy.
China is the largest export market for Australian macadamias. The
conference provided a forum to engage with our Chinese trade partners
and gain valuable insights to maximise opportunities in this rapidly growing
and innovative market for both nut-in-shell and value-added kernel products.
