Help recognise Australia's macadamia industry leaders: Nominations now open for the 2026 Awards of Excellence


Nominations are now open for the 2026 Australian Macadamia Society Awards of Excellence.

From the orchard to the marketplace, outstanding individuals across our industry help drive progress, innovation and success. The Awards of Excellence provide an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those whose contributions have made a lasting impact on the Australian macadamia industry.

Nominees may come from any sector of the industry, including growing, research, processing, marketing, exporting, consulting, industry representation and advocacy.

Whether it's a lifetime of service, a new idea or innovation, or emerging leadership, the Awards of Excellence shine a spotlight on the people helping shape the future of Australia's macadamia industry.

Nominations close at 5.00pm on 20 July 2026.

Both the nominee and proposer must be financial members of the Australian Macadamia Society.

Award winners will be announced at AusMac2026, to be held from 20–22 October 2026 at the Brisbane Showgrounds.


Norman R. Greber OAM Memorial Trophy

The Norman R. Greber OAM Memorial Trophy is the Australian macadamia industry's highest honour.

Nominations for this award should demonstrate how the nominee has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian macadamia industry in any sector through their leadership, commitment, service or achievements.

Macadamia Industry Young Achiever Award

This award recognises outstanding achievement by a young person aged under 40 years.

Nominations should demonstrate one or more of the following:

  • Active engagement in the macadamia industry in a role requiring individual initiative, including growing, consulting, research, processing, exporting, marketing and sales
  • Participation in industry activities and evidence of creativity, innovation and leadership
  • Contributions that improve industry outcomes through increased productivity, improved grower returns, environmental benefits, cost efficiencies, or positive promotion of the industry

Macadamia Industry Innovation Award

This award recognises an individual who has introduced an innovation, new idea or perspective that has delivered benefits to the Australian macadamia industry.

Nominations should demonstrate:

Originality

Ease of adoption

Benefit to the industry

Examples may include innovations in production, processing, research, sustainability, technology, business practices, marketing or industry development.

Macadamia Industry Production Awards

The Macadamia Industry Production Awards recognise excellence in orchard performance and production outcomes.

Finalists and winners in the regional awards will be shortlisted by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries Benchmarking Team using yield and quality data collected during the 2025 season.
