Last week India Australia Business and Community Alliance hosted the IABCA Immersion Week, and we were delighted to take part. It began with our Marketing Manager Jacqui Price participating in the panel discussion at the Welcome Reception on Monday night in Brisbane, and culminated in the incredible honour of winning the award for Excellence in Trade & Investment at the 2024 IABCA Awards at Parliament House on Friday night. The Awards presentation was the finale of a fabulous week of events and was attended by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese with our industry represented by both Jacqui and our CEO Clare Hamilton-Bate.

We are very grateful for the win, and it represents the culmination of a collaborative effort between Australian Macadamias, industry exporters like our fellow finalists Marquis Macadamias, and our wonderful strategic market development partner Four Pillars Trading, led by Executive Director Yemee Fernandes. We also extend our sincere thanks to Justin McGowan GAICD and the team at Trade and Investment Queensland and the IABCA Jury.

This accolade comes as we prepare to launch our next phase of activity promoting Australian Macadamias in India, starting with the second Australian Macadamia Festival kicking off in early September.

It’s a pivotal time for Australian grown macadamias in India and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our industry.
