AMS is excited to be working with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) at this year’s Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), taking place at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 9–17 August.

Throughout the event, DPI will host a series of live cooking demonstrations in the Woolworths Pavillion – and macadamias will feature in three delicious dishes:

• Mon 11 Aug, 11am – Macadamia and dried mango crusted cobia with strawberry balsamic salad
• Fri 15 Aug, 11am – Roasted barramundi, matbucha, macadamia, falafel, viola, lemon myrtle
• Sun 17 Aug, 11am – Strawberry and macadamia ice cream shortcake

On Friday 15 August, AMS Marketing Manager Jacqui Price will join the celebrity chef host on stage to chat about all things macadamia.

Visitors can also meet our friendly macadamia mascot and enjoy a taste of the goodness, with Macadamias Australia kindly donating their 30g Macadamia Snack Packs for sampling. 

Make sure to stop by the DPI stand in the Agriculture Education Hall to grab a sample, watch the cooking demos in the Woolworths Pavillion, and celebrate macadamias at Queensland’s biggest agricultural event!
