Redland Macadamia Recovery Project off to a flying start

MCT is partnering with Redland City Council to protect and enhance macadamia habitat at Mount Cotton.  The three-year project kicked off on 5 April 2025 with a successful Wild Macadamia Educational Event at the beautiful Indigiscapes venue.  Long-time macadamia conservationist Liz Gould gave a presentation on wild macadamias and why they need to be protected, and Maree Manby, Senior Environmental Extension Officer for Redland City Council explained the project and invited potential landholders to be involved.

The project will ensure that priority macadamia habitat is protected from clearing and support land managers to combat threats.
