Study tour to South Africa: EOIs open now

As part of the Hort Innovation–funded Industry Development project, a study tour to South Africa is being planned for the second week of July 2019. The tour will last around a week and take up to 15 growers. The AMS is calling for expressions of interest from growers interested in participating. The EOI closes on 26 April 2019.

Participants will need to be able to contribute to the cost of the tour and meet the following criteria:

  • You should be a grower with a track record of involvement in industry events and innovation of on-farm practices.
  • You will need to be able to participate in a workshop prior to departure to agree on the focus and to assign responsibilities and reporting duties across topics to be investigated.
  • You will need to demonstrate a willingness and capacity to help disseminate and publicise the findings of the tour through written reports, presentations at MacGroups and other industry forums and by having a well established network of contacts.
  • Preference will be given to younger and/or innovative growers.

Please submit your written expression of interest no later than 26 April.
